00 Acceptance of terms

By downloading or using SoberDeck (the "app"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. If you use SoberDeck through the Apple App Store, Apple's Media Services Terms also apply.

01 What SoberDeck is

SoberDeck is a personal sobriety and moderation tracking app for iPhone. It helps you log days, view your streaks and patterns, earn milestones, keep private notes, and optionally save money tallies and reminders. It is a self-tracking tool intended for your personal use.

02 Not medical advice

Alcohol dependence can carry serious health risks, including risks associated with withdrawal. Decisions about your drinking, sobriety, or treatment should be made with a qualified healthcare professional. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something in this app.

If you are in crisis or may be in danger, contact your local emergency services immediately. In the United States, you can reach the SAMHSA National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357 (free, confidential, 24/7). The support resources listed in the app are provided for convenience and are operated by independent organizations.

03 Your license

Subject to these terms, you're granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SoberDeck on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, consistent with the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.

04 Subscriptions & billing

SoberDeck's core features are free. SoberDeck Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional features. It is offered through the App Store and billed by Apple to your Apple ID.

• Plans. Monthly at $4.99 / month, or Annual at $29.99 / year. An optional 7-day free trial may be offered on the annual plan. Prices may vary by region and over time; the current price and any savings are always shown on the in-app paywall before you buy.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Free trial. If you start a free trial and don't cancel before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription. Any unused portion of a trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial period.
• Managing & cancelling. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings — cancellation takes one tap and there are no retention screens. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's refund policies; the developer cannot directly issue App Store refunds.

05 Free & Premium

We commit that the free experience never degrades, and that nothing you've already logged becomes locked if a subscription ends. Premium adds depth — year-view trends, deeper statistics, multiple behaviors, iCloud sync, CSV/PDF export, and alternate icons and themes — without removing anything from the free tier. There are no interstitials, countdown timers, or dark-pattern dismissals anywhere in the app.

06 Acceptable use

Please use SoberDeck lawfully and only for its intended personal purpose. Don't attempt to disrupt the app, circumvent purchase mechanisms, or use it in any way that violates applicable law or the App Store terms.

07 Intellectual property

The SoberDeck name, design, and software are owned by the developer and protected by intellectual-property laws. Your data and notes remain yours — these terms grant the developer no ownership over the content you create.

08 Disclaimers

SoberDeck is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations and reminders will be perfectly accurate. You are responsible for keeping your own backups where important.

09 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) SoberDeck. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10 Privacy

Your use of SoberDeck is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how the app keeps your data on your device by default and what limited information is involved.

11 Changes & governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, note them in the app or on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
