Your data stays yours

Sobriety data is about as personal as it gets. How SoberDeck keeps it on your phone — no account, no servers, no trackers.

Sobriety data is about as personal as information gets. A log of your hardest days isn’t something that should sit on someone else’s server, get folded into an ad profile, or quietly leak through a third-party SDK. So SoberDeck is built to need as little of your information as possible — and to keep what you do log on your phone.

No account, ever

There’s no email, no password, and no profile to create. You download the app, choose your goal in a short onboarding, and you’re logging within seconds. There’s nothing to sign into and nothing of yours sitting in a database somewhere.

On your device by default

Your logs are stored locally with Apple’s on-device database (SwiftData), protected by your iPhone’s own encryption and your passcode or Face ID. The app works fully offline. In normal use, your data simply never travels anywhere.

iCloud sync is optional — and free

Want your deck on more than one device? Turn on iCloud sync. It rides on Apple’s encrypted CloudKit, in the private database of your own iCloud account — the developer can’t read it. It’s entirely opt-in, it’s included for everyone at no cost, and if you leave it off, nothing leaves your phone.

No ads. No third-party trackers. No analytics SDKs. There’s simply no one to sell your sobriety data to.

Yours to take, yours to erase

Your history belongs to you in practice, not just in principle. Export it as a CSV or PDF whenever you like (a Premium feature), or wipe every trace from the device in one tap. The App Store privacy label says it plainly: data not collected.

For something this personal, privacy wasn’t a feature to bolt on later — it’s the foundation. You can read the specifics anytime in the Privacy Policy.
